St. Stephen’s Calls Pastor Peter Prange

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

This letter is to inform you that I have received the call that the St. Stephen congregation extended to
me on Sunday, September 24. I will, of course, need to take some time to look through all the
materials carefully, and if I have any questions I will certainly be directing them to those whom I
think would best be able to answer them. That being said, I encourage anyone who wants to share
their thoughts with me via phone or email to please do so. I have provided my phone number and
email address below.

I ask you to keep me and the gospel ministry, both there and at New Life, Kenosha & Somers, in your
prayers as I deliberate where I might best use my God-given gifts in service to God’s people, mindful
always that I am but a “jar of clay” holding the treasure of the gospel “to show that this all-surpassing
power is from God and not from us” (2 Co 4:7). What a comfort it is to remember that the furthering
of God’s kingdom in this world and in our midst depends on him and his powerful gospel and not on
us; yet what a privilege it is to serve as his ambassadors!
